Maintenance Manual

Before initial use of your container please carefully read these instructions.  If the container is to be used on serving premises, serving staff should be fully trained in its correct usage. Serving staffs are responsible for familiarizing guests with the correct usage of the container.

Pouring into the container:

A suitable rubber hose is recommended when pouring liquids from decanters or barrels. Make sure that the faucet is always set to the closed position when pouring otherwise excess spillage can occur.  Tube or at least its upper part should be chilled before pouring beer inside to avoid foaming.

Pouring:

The faucet lets through liquid when the faucet handle is placed in the forward position. When pouring, be careful that a glass is always in place below. Be especially vigilant when the container is full, as the liquid pressure in the faucet in such a case is relatively high.

Cleaning:

The container should be thoroughly cleaned after each use. When rinsing, open up the faucet (you can also remove it). The container should be washed using the usual cleaning agents for washing up and an appropriate cleaning brush (available as an accessory in this offer). After washing, it is recommended that the glass tube be wiped with a dray cloth in order that no visible traces of water drops remain. It is possible for some water to remain in the lower part of the container and in the tube after washing. For this reason it is advisable to occasionally tip the container upside down when it is drying, in order to pour off the remaining water. Wood is sensitive to moisture so it should be dried after use. Anti-sliding pads on the bottom of wooden base have to be replaced if by chance they miss.

Checking the seal:

Do not disassemble the shank of the faucet and the glass tube. Should this be at all necessary, it is recommended that the seal be tightened anew (on the tube, a rubber band measuring 75 mm in diameter and 4 mm in width, on the shank of the faucet, a tightening Teflon band).

Please note:

The base of the container and the container itself are not tightly bound! In order to make serving from and the carrying of the filled upo container easier, we recommend that they be served separately (first the base and then the container).
